Hiking Programs

The White Mountains are known the world over for their beautiful hiking trails, including the famous Appalachian Trail.  Our hikes range from pleasant strolls through the countryside to rigorous overnight treks over the mighty Presidential Range.   We provide a great box lunch and transportation to and from the trails

depending on the hike.

Participants need to bring sturdy hiking shoes, 1.5 to 2 liters

of water, a small backpack, sunscreen, sunglasses, hat and clothing based on the weather.

As well as our scheduled hikes, private hikes can be arranged at any difficulty level on most days by reservation.

Welch Dickey Loop

If you are up for an exciting White Mountain adventure, then join our guides on a fun and challenging loop hike of Welch and Dickie Mountains.  Cross over bubbling streams and climb 1800 ft into the scrubby brush of the alpine vegetation zone.  You will be rewarded with stunning ledge views early on as an incentive to keep pushing to the next summit.  Bask in the beautiful New England summer sun as

you savor two hard earned summits and your delicious boxed lunch.  This trail is a moderate 4.5 mile loop.

We can arrange any hike of your choosing, just give us a call.

Rattlesnake Mountain Picnic Hike

A sunset picnic hike with beautiful views and soft evening light is the perfect way to finish off a busy summer day.  Join our guides at WME for an inspiring hike up nearby Rattlesnake Mountain to take in

golden summer views of Squam Lake and enjoy a delicious picnic of cheeses, crackers, summer meats and other special treats.

We’ll take the old Bridal Path Trail, which is a moderate .9 mile path maintained by UNH, to the summit and spread out a blanket to enjoy our feast and soak up the cool evening air.  As the sun sinks lower in the sky, we’ll pack up and head down among a wash of pink and

orange hues.

This hike is perfect for families on vacation and couples who want a unique dinner date.

Stinson Mountain Hike

This moderate 3.5 mile hike wanders through gentle forests to the summit of Stinson Mountain with fine views in all directions and beautiful views of Stinson Lake.
